GREATER ROCKFORD BASEBALL LEAGUE P.O. Box 1754, Rockford IL 61110-0254
For over two decades, the Greater Rockford Baseball League has provided children the opportunity to participate in fun, healthy, and positive baseball programs. Emphasizing sportsmanship, development of fundamental skills and having fun, GRBL believes that all children should get to play regardless of their skill level. Every child plays in every game and bats every time through the order, so all players are given the opportunity to participate while they develop at their own rate.
The 2015 schedules have not yet been set, but practices will start in April and the season starts in early May.
We take a break for the week of July 4th.
Post Season will begin after July 4th weekend and last for a few weeks in July, and we'll be all wrapped up by August 1st.
Coaches are volunteers, so they schedule practices to fit their schedule. Usually it's 2 or 3 practices a week in the pre-season, then 1 or 2 a week during the season. You will have 1 or 2 games a week, games are played on Tuesdays (5:45pm), Thursdays (5:45pm), and Saturdays (10:00am and 1:00pm).
If you can't make a game or practice, be sure to let your coach know.
Practices are held wherever it is most convenient for the coach and all games are held at Talcott-Page Park. The exception being inter-league Juniors games, which will sometimes be held at the State Line Pony League parks.
